My goal when working with clients is to help them identify and strengthen inner resources based upon personal values. These then become powerful, permanent allies while navigating one's journey through life.

As a therapist, playing a role in this journey is a pleasure and an honor.

After 10 years as a stay-at-home dad, I decided to go back to school to obtain a counseling degree, earning an MA from the University of Minnesota. I believe this combination of personal, academic, and professional experience is a perfect blend that more than adequately equips me to do something I love--helping people along on their life journey.

Through my own personal and academic journey, I believe most individuals are much stronger than they realize, and possess an inner wisdom and resilience from which they are currently disconnected. Tremendous change and growth is often possible through adjustments in lifestyle and thinking patterns, and the tapping into inner resources that are presently underutilized.

I believe the ultimate goal for any individual is to live authentically, aligned with one's principles and values. This takes courage, and I am honored to assist in this process.

I enjoy collaborating with clients to identify both short-term and long-term goals, and creating methods for achieving them through the use of therapeutic approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and principles of mindfulness such as self-acceptance, self-compassion, and non-judgment.

I have been working with individuals and couples experiencing emotional challenges for over seven years in a variety of settings. I see clients remotely through telehealth.

Some evening hours are available. I am private pay only, but am happy to discuss affordable rates.
